Your Teacher Portal
Updated 22 September 2026. Use the PBEnglish teacher portal with your own Haoyueke teacher account and password. Do not use the old teacher panel for lesson recordings or classroom support.
Before class, check the booking date, time, student, textbook and courseware. Prepare your equipment and open the web interpreter. Fixed customers shows your regular customers and booking times; student phone numbers are not displayed there.
During class, use Quick notice for a student who has not joined, student connection problems, or a custom support message. Check the class shown before sending. If no class can be identified or the portal is unavailable, contact the support group with the class date, time and student.
Teach the full scheduled 25-minute lesson. An internal 23-minute monitoring threshold is not permission to finish early. An attendance status being verified is not a final absence or deduction; do not delete or re-upload videos to change attendance.
Class Rules
Class Video Record
Record every lesson and upload it under the matching class in the teacher portal. Check the student, date and time before selecting files. If one lesson has several recordings, select all recordings for that lesson together. Keep the page open until every file finishes uploading. Transcription starts automatically after the complete file set passes checks; teachers do not need to submit a separate transcription request.
Keep your original recordings until upload and any checks are resolved. If uploading is interrupted, follow the resume instructions for the unfinished file; do not delete completed files merely to retry a connection. A tiny recording startup fragment does not replace the lesson video.
Check Overview for red video alerts. Open the linked class to see the affected file and next step. A possible wrong-class warning needs verification, not immediate deletion. Ask support to check before replacing a recording. Do not publicly share student recordings or use them for personal promotion.
Student Absence
If the student has not entered within 2 minutes after class starts, use Quick notice to inform support and remain in the classroom. If you arrived on time, waited at least 10 minutes and the student still has not joined, inform support before leaving. If the student only joins after you have properly waited and left, this is handled as student absence based on verified classroom evidence. The standard net pay for a verified student-absence lesson is 50% of the lesson rate, before any separate applicable adjustments. A message alone does not replace the classroom wait.
Slot Time
Your regular working hours must include availability from 18:00 to 20:30 daily, at least 5 working days per week. The platform allows slots between 9:00 and 22:00, but 18:00 to 20:30 is mandatory.
Cancellation
Contact support as early as possible if you cannot teach. Give every affected date and time, the reason and when you made the request. Support must execute and confirm the cancellation; a request alone does not cancel a booking. Changing regular availability does not cancel booked lessons. See the agreement for the cancellation allowance and deduction rules.
Each cutoff includes two fee waivers for successful teacher-requested cancellations made at least 1 hour before class, counted per lesson. Less-than-one-hour cancellations are not free and do not consume the allowance. Before any applicable waiver, the fees are 0.5R for at least 1 hour's notice and 1.5R for less than 1 hour before class; R is your rate for one 25-minute lesson. Check the itemized waiver credit in Payroll.
Regular Schedule and Deployment
Edit your regular availability in Schedule and save it. An admin manually deploys the schedule to the following week; saving alone does not publish it. There is no automatic Wednesday deployment and no restriction that you may edit only Wednesday to Sunday. An empty regular schedule is technically allowed, but planned leave or changes to agreed working commitments must be discussed with support. Existing bookings remain until support confirms any required cancellation.
Working Time
Our working hours are from 9:00 to 22:00. If you need to cancel a class, submit the request within this time frame, otherwise the class may not be canceled in time.
Demo Classes
Demo classes are trial lessons identified by PBEnglish trial-management records. The current successful enrollment incentive is 500 pesos. If a customer has taken several eligible Demo lessons before purchasing, the teacher of the last eligible Demo before the purchase receives the attribution; later Demos do not create another enrollment bonus.
The bonus is frozen for 30 days from the purchase time, then enters the next applicable cutoff payday. A refund before the full 30 days revokes the success; a refund at or after maturity does not revoke it under the current rule. Check the portal for the status and expected payment date; an expected date is not proof of a completed bank transfer.
To get more demo classes, teachers need to help secure more enrollments through strong classroom performance and useful feedback.
Introduction Page
You may use the introduction page provided by PBEnglish, or create your own. It contains Chinese audio for questions that may be useful in the first meeting with a client.
Teaching Suggestions
Operations
- Open more time slots. The more hours you offer, the more parents you can reach.
- Minimize late arrivals, cancellations, and absences. Clients prefer teachers who keep stable attendance.
- If you must cancel, notify the client as early as possible. Later notice increases the chance of complaints.
- Write detailed post-class feedback and assign after-class exercises when useful. This helps parents see that you are responsible and serious.
Clarify Student English Level
- Starter: students understand a little and give simple responses, such as "What's your name?" and "Chris."
- Movers: students understand more and produce complete sentences without explanations, such as "I am Chris."
- KET or PET: students can produce complete sentences with explanations, but may have pronunciation or grammar mistakes.
- IELTS: students can produce longer sentences with correct pronunciation and grammar.
Goals by Level
Starter: Make students feel English is interesting and not difficult. Encourage often with smiling, clapping, thumbs-up, rewards, and simple interaction. Avoid over-correcting. The goal is for students to answer with single words through repeated interaction.
Movers: Keep students motivated while guiding them to produce complete sentences. Use interactive games as rewards. The goal is for students to understand the teacher and speak in complete sentences.
KET or PET: Help students give richer answers using the 5W1H framework. Correct pronunciation and grammar immediately when errors are heard.
IELTS: Increase speaking speed and encourage students to respond quickly with longer and accurate answers.
Interaction Games
VTP1: Quick Teaching Guide
VTP1 (Interactive Topic Talking 1) is our latest 60-lesson interactive courseware, developed from Topic Talking 1 (TP1).
- Prepare and open: Open the assigned lesson webpage and read Notes. Click Download EDU, upload the file to ClassIn Cloud Drive, and open it in the classroom.
- Allow student clicks: Start Exercise and authorize student operation. Have the student use Click / mouse in ClassIn to select characters and answers, then speak in English.
- Use the lesson's Pen: Keep ClassIn in Click / mouse mode. Use Pen in the lesson's right sidebar to draw, Eraser to erase, and Pointer to return to clicking. Students can see your marks. The pen tools' Undo / Clear undo strokes or clear this page's marks.
- Help when needed: If the student does not understand the activity, guide them to click Help for a Chinese explanation, then answer in English. Listen models the English words and sentences.
Use Hint before Reveal. Confirm spoken answers yourself and give rewards. Always connect clicking to speaking.

How to Handle When Students Do Not Understand
Use the PBEnglish ClassIn Interpreter first
When a student does not understand your English, the first recommended tool is the PBEnglish ClassIn Interpreter. Open https://pbenglish.cn/classin-interpreter/ before class, sign in, click Start Class, and use Speak in Chinese beside your English sentence when the student needs quick Chinese support.
Google Translate should only be used as a backup when the interpreter is unavailable.
If the interpreter is not opened and the client reports that the student could not understand the class, the teacher may receive a complaint.
Starter Level
Slow down your speaking pace, reduce question difficulty, use more gestures and encouragement, and use Speak in Chinese when the student cannot understand. Encourage interaction through actions such as clapping, raising hands, smiling, or simple gestures.
Movers Level
Slow down, repeat when the student shows confusion, and use Speak in Chinese if repetition is not enough. Guide students to repeat words and sentences after you, and use more games and encouragement.
KET or PET Level
Explain in English first. If the student is still confused, use the interpreter to give a quick Chinese explanation, then return to English practice as soon as possible.
Feedback
After each lesson, open the correct course and submit Student evaluation, including a rating and useful written feedback. Check the save result. If delivery is unconfirmed, keep your original text and follow the checking instructions or contact support; do not assume it was received. For Demo lessons, also notify the support or sales group promptly when follow-up is needed. Feedback should include:
- How the student performed, whether they understood, answered questions, and used complete sentences.
- Whether the material difficulty was suitable. If not, give suggestions.
- Which areas the student needs to strengthen next.
Write Detailed Comments
Short comments are not enough. Parents rely on comments to understand progress. Teachers who write detailed comments are more likely to win student favor and repeat bookings. Please write comprehensive comments for your classes.
Good Teacher Video Samples
These videos are important to study because they show strong teachers with fully booked schedules.
Payroll and Your Details
Check your bank name, account name, account number, per-lesson rate and individual deposit in the portal. Contact support about discrepancies; do not assume every teacher has the same deposit.
Cutoffs cover the 1st–14th and the 15th–last day of the month. Open Payroll to review income, deductions, waived cancellation charges, adjustments and the payable total. Confirm only after checking; otherwise submit a question with the affected items and a specific reason. Confirmation does not mean the bank transfer has arrived. Demo bonuses may remain frozen until their eligibility date.
Final Quiz
Sign in to the Teacher Portal with your own Haoyueke teacher account and open Onboarding Quiz after reading this tutorial and the agreement. Answer all 30 questions correctly; your result is saved automatically to your teacher record. Review explanations and retake if needed. New teachers can use onboarding access to read the guides and take the quiz before Teacher Support approves full portal access. Let support know when you pass and tell them your requested start date. Passing the quiz is not signing the agreement. Check your financial details and equipment before taking lessons.
